The 2015 Corvette Z06 Gets Angry And Loud At The Nürburgring

Testing the 650 horsepower 2015 Corvette Z06 at the Nürburgring serves two important purposes. It shows what the car can do on one of the world's most difficult tracks, and it gives those snooty Europeans a taste of the storm that's coming their way.

We also make an important conclusion from this video: the new Z06 sounds freaking amazing. Like, terrifyingly furious. Like a damn race car. It's wonderful and I need to hear more.

Unfortunately, it seems as though this yellow Z06 had to end the day a bit early after a crash. No worries, though. Americans never give up.

And as an added bonus, here's some video of the Camaro Z/28 making the same rounds around the 'Ring. Thank our friends at Bridge to Gantry for both.

Call me crazy but I find the Z/28 so much more impressive. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would rather drive/have the Z06, but it performs like we all think it should. The Z/28 defies what you think a car should be able to do in many ways.
