We'll see the 2014 Cadillac CTS for the first time next week during the New York Auto Show. We've already gotten a brief glance at the uncovered body, but no official word on what's under the hood. Now we know.

The CTS will have the well known 320 horsepower 3.6 liter V6, but the top engine will be a brand new twin-turbo direct injection 3.6 liter V6.

Power? Oh, it has power. 420 horsepower and 430 pound feet of torque. It's mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox and will get to 60 in 4.6 seconds. That's a tasty slice.

And the best part is that this is not the engine that will be in the V. Cadillac says that the V6 is meant to bridge the gap between the NA 3.6 and the V-Series V8. Excellent.

Oh, and if you're so inclined, you can get a version of the new turbo motor in the XTS as well. That will have 410 horsepower and 370 pound feet with power going through a six-speed auto box.
