I don't think one of these was the cause of qoncept's divorce. At least I hope not. But hey, when you don't need much of a back seat and you're living on a tighter budget, it's a way to go without being too mid-life crisis-y.
I bought this. No regrets.
Long version: The day she left I test drove an FR-S. Wanted one since I heard Toyota and Subaru were discussing it years earlier. But it was too small and I decided I could never have one. 6 months later and 40lbs lighter I sold my WRX and bought the BRZ.

Face it, you'll need a place to sleep.
During a divorce one really needs a car which nobody else (besides a few jalops) wants and it also doubles as a place to live in.
