Subaru is calling its Impreza TR — a new variant with with a stripped-down interior; less conspicuous, 2.5i-level body styling, and a cheaper price — a relative blank slate that's "tuner ready." Sure, that's one way to go. But what about forgoing all the eyeball-baiting conspicuity and keeping it as is? Consider it a Club Sport Impreza WRX that could be the ultimate sleeper rod, considering it's got the same 230hp, 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer mill and AWD, despite the lack of garish add-ons. Drive the thing showroom stock, and there's not a cop on the road who won't think you're just some Amherst student on the way back to campus. Hooray for Scooby.
