Seeing the world s most expensive sports car at a filling station is like catching Gwyneth Paltrow at the A&P. It doesn't seem plausible that a 1001hp, 252-mph, W16-engined supercar could run on anything short of Uranium 238, let alone the same crap sloshing around in the tank of your six-year-old Honda. (As if Gwyneth dined on canned soup and Saltines from aisle five.) And, by the way, what in the world is up with those headlights?
The Veyron will be official in September 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, after three years of on-again, off-again release dates. As these pictures, caught by automotive gumshoe, Hans G. Lehmann, indicate, the Veyron is definitely exclusive looking, and at $1 million, pretty damn exclusive in general. The headlights, unfortunately, remain a mystery.
