Should You Drive 800 Horsepower Tuff Trucks When You're In Pennsylvania? Yes

Car VS. AmericaCar VS. AmericaJalopnik has a TV show. Join us as we check out car culture across the nation.

Jalopnik’s TV show hasn’t been canceled yet! Dreams DO come true. And this week, our TV boys head out to rural Pennsylvania to experience the magic of off-roading.

You know, our hosts Mike Ballaban and Raphael Orlove have both driven Dakar-winning Mini race cars, and Orlove is a veteran rally navigator. But neither of them have done much traditional rock crawling in Jeeps or pickup trucks (they’re not from Texas, or David Tracy.)

So we thought it would be fun on this episode of Car vs. America to stick one of them in an 800 horsepower Tuff Truck and have them do some rad jumps. There’s a lot of screaming. There always is with these two jamokes, for some reason.

Check out this episode and a deeper exploration of what makes Pennsylvania great, including State Fairs and our very close personal good friend Mr. Regular, Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET and PT on Fusion.

Find out if you have Fusion here, and check out how to get the Watch Fusion app on Amazon Fire TV & Stick, Roku, Chromecast, iPhone, iPad, Android Mobile, Android tablets and more. Don’t have cable? You can still catch it on Apple TV and the Sling app.

Who’s winning on Car vs. America so far? Probably America.

This clip is like those “watch me play” gamer vids on Youtube.

Raph and Mike are having a blast indeed :]

Still, the key element of the car shows “we” like round these parts is the learning aspect. Learning about historic race tracks. Learning about odd VW tail lights. Learning the way a Jeep engine block/head gets rebuilt.

You can do this Jalopnik, you have the technology!
