So let's get this straight: DCX takes the old SLK, retrofits it with a softtop and sells it as the Crossfire. Now, Chrysler's new Sebring replacement reported will feature a folding hardtop, according to the company's announcement at their annual dealer convention in Las Vegas. Also announced at the convention is that a four-door Wrangler with a reconfigurable (read: T-top) roof will hit the showroom floor of Jeep dealerships. Existence of plans for the Dodge Aspen were also floated, but it's as yet unclear what form the car will take. The last we heard, the Aspen was to be a Chryslerized Durango, but maybe, like the Prowler and PT Cruiser, the Volar nameplate will make a move upmarket, with Dodge hanging onto the Aspen nameplate. Or not.
