Roberto Merhi Banned From Two Races After Causing Finish Line Crash
F1 driver Roberto Merhi caused a crash at todays Formula Renault 3.5 race when he prematurely slowed down after crossing the finish line. He was hit from the rear by Nicholas Latifi.
The move was especially senseless as Merhi wasn't even in the lead. He was in 11th place after getting penalized earlier in the race for failing to obey track limits.
Following the crash, Merhi was barred from participating in two races:
