A new candy from Kraft Foods, molded in the shape of animals squashed by cars (with tire treads!) is causing animal rights activists to lose their Tofurkey. Many such activists believe Kraft's Trolli Road Kill Gummi Candy, which features shapes of dead snakes, chickens and squirrels in various post-vehicular states of demise, fosters cruelty toward animals, and are considering petition drives, boycotts and letter-writing campaigns to get the candy yanked from the marketplace. Kraft officals call the candy, "offbeat" and not meant to offend. Activists are unfazed, and are adding Gummi Roadkill to the list of other products they're outraged by, including "Tuna-net Dolphin Gum," "Clubbed Seals Fruit Rollups," and "Exxon Valdez Chocolate-covered Egret Pops."
