Round 3 of the riotous "Defender Challenge By Bowler" Land Rover rally is going down June 7th at Southwell Racecourse; featuring 44 stage miles in Sherwood Forest.
If you're in the area, try and check it out! Otherwise the rest of us can scan YouTube for highlights on Sunday; no live stream option for this event yet.
Tracks will be dirt roads and loose gravel tracks with stages through the Sherwood Pines. Seven teams will be represented tomorrow, all driving Land Rover Defender 90s modified by Bowler. Race organizers still expect more teams to join in as the series progresses... I guess that means they're not getting too caught up in season-points or anything like that.
Mark Cameron, Global Brand Experience Director, Jaguar Land Rover, said:
"We're extremely pleased with the reaction that the Defender Challenge by Bowler race series has had so far. For a brand new rally series to already have seven registered teams by only the third round is a great achievement and goes to show how well the series has established itself in such a short space of time. It's also clear from the spectator reaction that rally fans are enjoying the added dimension these Bowler-prepared Land Rover vehicles are adding to racing across the UK."
