Pontiac Solstice GXP "Not Greenlighted" Sources Say

GM is denying an oft-reported plan to create a higher-performance GXP version of its Solstice roadster. That doesn't mean such a car is off the table; it may just mean Pontiac is scrubbing that designation for something less strongly tethered to the recent past, or that it has too many other things to think about at the moment so stop pulling mommy's skirt and go to your room until you can behave like a gentleman. Still, GM is known to be considering various Ecotec engines for the Solstice, like the 2.0-liter supercharged mill from the Cobalt SS that gets 205hp, though we'll have to wait for the tuner community to come up with that LS2 V8-powered model everyone wanted.
