Pontiac's GTO will get a shot of go-drenalin for 2005, according to GM. A new 6-liter V-8 engine will replace the 2004's 5.7 liter powerplant, bringing an increase in horsepower from 350 to 400, and torque (365ft/lb to a tractor-pulling 395). With those numbers, the GTO is finally near par with its 1960s-era forebears. Too bad it still looks like something my dental hygienist would drive to the movies. Redesign, please, Pontiac. That thing is fuglier than a six-pack of Cadillac Cateras.
