This 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is the 44th of 492 factory-built models approved for World Rally Championship Group 4 competition, according to its listing on Bring a Trailer. Its current bid is at $420,000, but I expect it to increase, even though bidding will end promptly at 5:40 p.m. EST.
If the mere fact that a Stratos HF Stradale is for sale doesn’t entice you enough, here, let me tell you about it:
The car has only had two owners and less than 45,000 miles on the clock. The engine, transmission, chassis and Bertone body are all original. It underwent comprehensive servicing in 2017 and has a clean Texas title.
The inside is beautiful, with lush red carpeting. The lights and instruments work well, the listing claims. Then there’s this tidbit at the end:
The car was displayed at this year’s Concorso Italiano during Monterey Week where it won a class award. The seller emphasizes that this is a well-sorted Stratos that can be driven on an event or rally right now with confidence.
