Nissan announced in November it was pulling out of the Detroit Auto Show. Now it's apparently scuttled plans by some of its Michigan dealers to attend the show in the space Nissan planned to occupy.

The Detroit Free Press interviewed Doug Fox, Nissan dealer and co-chairman of the show and was told Nissan asked the Detroit area dealers "to please respect their decision to not have a presence." But why? We don't think Nissan hates Detroit. [MLive]

Nissan doesn't currently have any products they are looking to introduce. Basically everything you'd see there— you can see out on the road.

And isn't that the whole point of going to an auto show?? To see the cars you DONT see on the road?
