Nissan has debuted its All-Around Collision Free prototype, a concept of auto protection which shifts the safety systems from passive to outwardly active. Virtual uncrashability is wrought from the combination of systems dubbed Side Collision Prevention (SCP), Back-up Collision Prevention (BCP), Distance Control Assist (DCA), and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP). Basically it's a system of sensors and cameras combined with computers, beeps and boops, and a bazillion lines of software code designed to make it easier to use your cell phone, eat a donut and read the paper while driving.
