Trackhouse Racing bought the flailing RNF Racing MotoGP team at the end of the 2023 season. As the satellite team for Aprilia, it struggled across its premier 2024 season. The American squad, headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., finished the season ninth in the Teams Championship with a pair of sixth-place finishes among its accomplishments. The 2024 season Red/White/Blue rah-rah America livery is gone, replaced by an eye-searing bright blue/highlighter yellow Trackhouse livery, which absolutely rules. Trackhouse is the first MotoGP team to show off its 2025 season machine.

In fairness to Trackhouse, the team didn’t actually get its hands on Aprilia’s newest and best bike, the RS-GP, until mid-season last year. Even still, it managed to outscore the factory Honda squad and nearly took down the famed Monster Energy Yamaha team as well. For 2025, the American team will have the RS-GP for the full season, so hopefully, it can push for even better and more consistent points results. The team is hoping to build to greater successes in 2025 with Ai Ogura joining the riding talent (replacing Miguel Oliveira who will himself replace champion Jorge Martin at Pramac), and Gulf Oil coming on board as a partner.

I, for one, welcome a bit more color onto the MotoGP grid. This blue/yellow look is pretty great and hopefully brings more eyes in the direction of the American team. With the factory Aprilia team essentially acting as the “best of the rest” in MotoGP behind the factory Ducatis and the Pramac Ducatis, there’s a chance Trackhouse could really do some good work this season.

In addition to the MotoGP effort, Trackhouse will continue its efforts in NASCAR with drivers Daniel Suarez, Zane Smith, and Shane Van Gisbergen. The team will also field the “Project 91" car for Helio Castroneves in the Daytona 500, and it is entering a GTD-class Corvette for Van Gisbergen, Scott McLaughlin, Ben Keating, and Connor Zilisch in this month’s Daytona 24.
