The single shots of Michelin's new Tweel that had been released earlier absolutely did not prepare us for what the airless tire looks like in action. It's totally see-through, like a super-high-tech wagon wheel, but mallable as a regular pneumatic. The opportunities for sick custom work would be endless. Painted spokes (or whatever those supporting flanges are called) would be just the beginning. Click through for more photos.

[Update: Our buddy, Tom brings up an interesting point. "Exposed rib supports would turn the tweel into a gravel-spraying machine, don't you think?" Good news for sellers of windshield insurance, bad news for the rest of us. Any ideas?]
