We now know the US-bound 2007 Audi Q7 quattro will first get the company's spanky 4.2-liter V8 FSI engine with gasoline direct injection technology, producing 350 hp, with a new six-cylinder engine to be offered by mid-2006. Audi site Fourtitude found evidence on a show car at the New York Concours d'Elegance late last year that the new six will be a 3.6-liter mill of some configuration. Now, The German Car Blog reports the new, six-cylinder 3.6 FSI will produce 280 bhp and around 266 lbs-ft. of torque, propelling the Q7 3.6 to 62 mph in 8.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 137 mph. Quattro and six-speed Tiptronic are also a given.
