These guys from The Register remind us of ourselves at middle-school age — the annoying little semantic deconstructionists we were — when we'd loudly parse every malaprop our parents were unfortunate to have uttered in our presence. In a similar vein, they point out that Microsoft MapPoint seems to advise Swedish drivers headed from Haugesund to Trondheim to take a dip in the North Sea while en route. Obviously, it's a glitch of potentially tragic consequence to either robots or imbiciles. Does it mean Microsoft is developing a flying car to traverse such a route, as the Register is glibly implying? We freaking hope so.
