Edmunds is fanning the flames of speculation, with a report Mercedes-Benz may be looking at building a sport truck like the Honda Ridgeline, based on the newly redesigned G-Class. Big-ticket utility trucks may be a market waiting to happen. Merc buyers, heretofore, have had few options for lugging oversized lawn furniture or premium-priced garden tools from Smith & Hawken, except for sending the gardener over in his Chevy Van. And you know how reliable those people are, especially if you don't wack them with a riding crop now and then. (Check out the Hans Lehmann spec photo. That guy has mad skillz.)
