Auto blogging newcomer, Auto Wonder reads Chinacars so we don't have to (as if we could even if we wanted to), and reports on Mercedes-Benz's positive sales results in China, where Merc is still the ultimate status brand. With sales in China of the S-class sedan surpassing that in Europe and Japan, and continued, albiet single-digit, overall sales growth, China is now Merc's second largest market worldwide — an even more significant achievement considering the hefty price premium on its cars there. Moreover, in a new joint venture with Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company (BAIC), the company will begin building E and C class sedans in Beijing later this year.
