Kia may be looking to tart up its brand image in the US with a new roadster that could be reminiscent of its 2004 KCV III concept (pictured). Kia America CEO, Peter Butterfield is urging his Korean bosses to build such a car, according to Edmunds Inside Line, a sub-$20,000 two-seater that would evoke a more sporting image than the company's range of sensible shoes, er, cars does currently. The roadster, unlike the concept, would be stripped down to the bare essentials needed for open-road work, possibly forgoing such luxuries as a radio, carpets, windows or electric top. Yee haw!
