Jailbait: Oregon Cops Stock the Theft Pool With Juicy Targets

This is so brilliant we wonder why we haven't heard of any law enforcement agency using it sooner. Police in Salem, OR, are using specially-equipped "bait cars" left in areas with high-theft rates. When the perp breaks in, an alarm sounds at the call center. What's more, the cars are wired for sound and vision, as well as equipped with GPS tracking systems to allow the po-po to swiftly apprehend the criminal. So far, the cars have led to four arrests. Now while we're generally not into Big Brother tactics, this one's a cut-and-dried winner, as far as we're concerned.
