Iran's largest auto manufacturer, Iran Khodro Company (Ikco), is seeking other Indian automakers for mutual outsourcing partnerships, calling discussions with Tata Motors, an automobile unit of India's largest conglomerate, Tata Group, "not satisfactory."

Ikco, which is also seeking mutual-cooperation arrangements with automakers in China, is the largest vehicle manufacturer in Iran, with market share of 65 percent to 70 percent domestically. The company also produces cars for Peugeot in Iran, as well as its own models, the venerable Paykan and the new Samand.
