Within its walls of recycled and recyclable materials, employees of Nissan's newest design studio in Farmington Hills, Michigan will conjure new shapes into which sheetmetal will be twisted. Car Design News offers an insider's look at the $14 million studio, in which the company's compact Azeal concept was born. We're not kidding about recycled materials, either: the rubber in the doors and windows comes from recycled tires, and much of the wallspace is covered in wool made from recycled sweaters. But, no, the urinals are not made from the bell housings of old 280Zs, not that that would be a bad idea.
