Randy Bernard was CEO of IndyCar for an entire two years and yet somehow managed to squander all the positive press, the solid business plan, and the massive media footprint the sport had gained since the split with CART and while under the wise leadership of Tony George. Therefore, the IndyCar board's decision to fire him earlier today makes perfect sense.
Just kidding, IndyCar's been fucked since Jump Street and, while Randy Bernard didn't magically save it, he could have only made it worse by replacing the cars with Chevy Aveos. We hear Bernard, who helped successfully build the Professional Bull Riding series, is looking for an executive position with an organization that has a slightly more positive following. We hear the DPRK is hiring.
