Identity Crisis: Where Does Lincoln Go Next?

Ford has acknowledged what most of us already know: they're not sure what to do with Lincoln, or how to do it. Admitting that he would love to see the kind of turnaround at Lincoln that Cadillac has performed over the last few years, Ford's North American design chief Peter Horbury says "We have to get something on the road that is desirable." It seems pretty obvious right now that Ford's just throwing Lincolns at the wall to see if any of 'em stick, without doing the kind of work necessary to produce cars that people would actualy want to buy. Apparently they're figuring that if they got lucky with the Navigator, they might just score again. Sad.
