On Tuesday, investigators with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. released video and stills of a vehicle in which three men believed to be involved in a brutal beating rode away from the scene.

As for the details of the case, 29-year-old Thomas Maslin, of D.C.'s Capitol Hill neighborhood, was beaten unconscious, this, after he sought help from neighbors during the early morning attack on Aug. 18.

The alleged attackers apparently tried to use his credit cards after the assault, leading police to release video from a gas station about two miles away.

"I think this will happen again if we don't find out who is responsible here," [the victim's wife] Abigail Maslin told reporters outside the MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where her husband remained hospitalized Tuesday. "It is crucial, absolutely critical that people watch the video and we find out who is responsible for this."
