The winds from this hurricane are gaining strength and they just snapped a crane on top of a new apartment building in Manhattan.
The crane, which is located on 57th Street, looks to be broken in half due to the winds and is currently dangling over 57th Street and 7th Avenue. It hasn't fallen yet, but it certainly looks precarious.
The building is called One57, and it will be one of the most expensive new apartment buildings in New York City. One of the suites recently sold for nearly $100 million to the Prime Minister of Qatar.
UPDATE: The NYPD is now evacuating buildings in the area of the crane. There is a fear that it could topple and bounce off of other buildings in the area. This is a very dangerous situation.
