How Much Does A McLaren MP4-12C Cost?
Thanks to a soon-to-be new owner of a McLaren MP4-12C, we've got a copy of the options price list for Macca's new $229,000 supercar. Let's take a look at the nitty-gritty on what all those ducats'll buy you.
For starters, that $229,999 McLaren MP4-12C price is just the base MSRP. Don't forget applicable federal, state, local or gas guzzler taxes. Also, this doesn't include license, titling, registration or transportation fees. Plus, there's the destination and port processing fee of $2,400.
So if you're one of the 2,700 people who've expressed interest in buying an MP4-12C, and after you've paid that hefty price of admission, you can get all sorts of fun options in the realm of entertainment, wheels, brakes, safety & security, and even some "practical" items.
Here's some of the more notable options:
— $5,140 "Elite Paint"
— $13,130 "Carbon Ceramic Brakes"
— $4,000 "Carbon Fiber Seat Backs"
— $11,420 "Additional Super-Lightweight Forged Wheels with Corsa Tires"
— $400 "Branded Floor Mat Set"
— $580 "Car Cover"
— $180 "Fire Extinguisher"
That's a lot of money for "Elite Paint" and "Carbon Fiber Seat Backs" — but whatever, I doubt anyone buying this speed demon will be quibbling over a few extra thousand dollars.
Check out the rest of the prices in the pages we've slapped into place here. Then head into the gallery of pages from the options guide above to really see what the money will buy you.
And for the record... if we had the money, we'd lard it up with every option possible.
Hat tip to Jason!
