Through his shadowy candids of throwback hotrodders and drag-strip acolytes, recalling Bruce Davidson's "Brooklyn Gang" series of the late-1950s, photographer David Perry evokes the past in photographic style, just as his subjects do through their street rods and worked-over '50s rides.
