Ruh roh. Honda's issued a recall for 25,000 2006 Civics due to a faulty gas pedal that could come loose and cause the accelerator to stick. While most of the '06 models with the flaw haven't been sold yet, a few are out on the town. Honda says a fix has been instituted on the assembly line, and that the problem only affects cars built from June through October of '05. Still goofy gas-pedal issues bring to mind the Audi unintended-acceleration debacle of the '80s. Even though the culprit turned out to be driver error, it tarnished the VW unit's reputation for years.
