High on the list of “cars nobody wants messed with” is the Jeep Wrangler. These images show the new-for-2018 redesign of the iconic off-roader won’t change the formula too much.

These photos come to us from the JL Wrangler Forums, and while they are admittedly grainy and dark, they’re maybe our best look yet at the new Wrangler—along with what appears to be an updated Cherokee.

Here’s what the forum has to say:

Thanks to a quick acting witness with his cell phone, here are images of posters from a FCA dealer event which shows the next gen JL Wrangler’s nose and tail.

These images were displayed on a poster at a FCA dealer meeting which showed the entire current (as well as future) Jeep lineup. Two future models were revealed, the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer and the all new Jeep Wrangler (JL)!

The images confirm what the spied prototypes have been previewing:

-European style front bumper (longer and extends up to meet fender flares)

-LED turn signal light strips integrated into fender flares

I rather like the LEDs on the fenders; it’s a modern and attractive touch that doesn’t interfere with a design everyone wants to be iconic and familiar. The updated rear taillights are nice too.

Our forum tipster also says it’s possible these are photos of the new Jeep Wrangler truck as well, since the rear only shows a tailgate and no greenhouse, but it’s hard to tell from what we have.

Here are a few more photos. Can you make out anything notable?
