These days finding a rust-free International Harvester is a nearly impossible task, but as this vintage photo from 1973 shows finding a clean Scout was once as simple as driving down to your local IH dealer.
Considering the last light duty International Truck or SUV rolled off the assembly line before my time, the site of this many clean IHs in one place is almost too much to process. We imagine this dealership, located in Greenville, SC, was one of the larger of its kind judging from the amount of Scouts, Travelalls and pickup trucks parked alongside the more heavy duty offerings from IH.
Unfortunately finding any clues as to where this dealership once stood or when they went out of business proved to be even tougher than locating an example of the vehicles they sold in the condition shown here.
