Here Are All The Cars That You Missed From Radwood Greenwich

We're big fans of Rad-era cars here at Jalopnik. The '80s and '90s saw the auto industry take some truly incredible steps in technology, performance and design. So when Radwood announced a 2021 show in Greenwich, CT, just a quick train ride from our NY office, making the trip out was a no-brainer.

I had never been to a Radwood show before, and Greenwich was an interesting one — it was held inside the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance, taking up the waterfront behind the Porsches. It made for a hilarious dissonance when I found myself making a beeline past One Thousand Seventies 911s to see an AMC Eagle parked near a Lada.

So here's the highlight reel: a selection of shots from Radwood Greenwich, for you to see what you missed. Also, so you can replace your old phone or laptop wallpaper — c'mon, you've had that standard Apple color swirl forever. Live a little, change it up.

Gotta rep the #brand, right? This sticker was on a Lada Niva with the license plate "SPUTNIK". I did not meet the owner, but I consider them a true friend.

After talking to the owner of a 400,000-mile NSX, I want one. I've never driven one, but they look like they'd make for an incredible experience.

Those wheels. Those flares. The Lancia Delta Integrale deserves to be sideways on a mountain pass, but parked on dirt is at least close.

It's medically impossible to walk past a DeTomaso Pantera without staring. I asked a doctor and everything, they confirmed it.

Perfect for cruising the Autobahn, or I-95 northbound to Boston.

The Ford Taurus Super High Output is one of my favorite sleepers. A Taurus? Surely that can't be quick.

And yet.

A80-generation Toyota Supras (Supræ?) are a mainstay at car shows. The earlier Celica Supra, though? Always nice to see them still kicking.

I know, I know. "Steve, that's only two Supras." You already saw the third one, it was the first image in the slideshow. But, if you insist...

Rad.

A movable window, inside a fixed one. Technically you're seeing this through your eyes, which are the windows to the soul, so that's three levels of windows right there.

Nothing gets kids' attention like a stripped and caged 993. It draws the eyes of their parents, too.

The general population of rich Greenwich folks felt at home with the 911s and Mercs. Give them an R32 Nissan Skyline GTS-4, however, and they don't seem to totally get what they're seeing.

Something about a three-box design and a three-pointed star just works. Especially when one of those boxes says "Evolution" down the side.

While taking this shot, I didn't notice how closely the Skyline's camber matches the angle of the BMW's nose. Nature is beautiful.

The history of the SUV/crossover craze, laid out on the grass in a Connecticut park. Technically, the Lada is also the present of the crossover craze.

These Mitsubishis were tucked away behind the concession stand. I think they were hiding, afraid that a Subaru might show up.

If you've ever wanted to see a crowd of adults gawk at a 35-year-old Corolla because it was in a cartoon, Radwood is the place for you. It's also the place for me, because I took about a hundred photos of this one car.

If you were wondering, yes, it has a cup holder clipped to the vents.

September in Greenwich is a cold, cloudy time. But those few sunny moments, the last peeks of warmth before the winter, make for perfect convertible weather.

I'm a sucker for JDM vehicles and for JDM tuners. A TOMS Aristo hits both.

Every time I see a mint Saab 900, I'm reminded that I should book a dentist appointment.

Guards Red really makes the heckblende heckblend right in. I'll see myself out.

Everything should have yellow fog lights. SUVs, commuter cars, pets, vermin. The world would be a better place.

In true Fairfield County, Connecticut fashion, the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance had an extremely boring concession menu for lunch. Luckily, the scenery was more interesting.

The E31's Arctic Silver paint was a good fit for the weather in Greenwich. Do I actually know that this is Arctic Silver, rather than Sterling Silver or Granite Silver? Absolutely not, but at an event this cold, all silvers are arctic.

The people most interested in the AMC Eagle were almost entirely younger than the AMC Eagle.

I don't know enough about fashion to tell you whether pastels are a good choice for your going-out look. What I can tell you is that a 968 the color of an Arizona green tea can is always a good choice.

Lush grass, beautiful water, fish jumping in the distance. Greenwich is a great place to sit by the coast with your significant other.

I mean the Mercedes, but the couple seemed to be enjoying their thing too.
