Hell Yes There Might Be A Subaru WRX Hatchback Coming

I feel bad for Subaru. When they made the WRX into a hatchback, all they heard were complaints. Now, the WRX is only a sedan. All they're hearing are complaints. Well, the complaints might soon stop: A WRX hatch is under consideration.

A report from Australia that we saw on The Truth About Cars says that Subaru is considering a revival of the hatchback which made up 50 percent of WRX sales in America:

We have received strong interest from the US, where the hatchback was 50 per cent (of previous-generation WRX sales), so we're now considering.

And that quote isn't just from hatchback-loving rube within Subie, it's from Masuo Takatsu, the WRX Project General Manager. Subaru initially developed just one body style because they said those were the resources that were available to them. They could make a great car in one body style or a decent car with two. They chose the former, and it's worked wonders.

So a car as good as the 2015 Subaru WRX in a bodystyle that many people are clamoring for. Subaru won't be able to keep them on dealer lots.
