Out on the dusty claypans outside Alice Springs, Australia, authorities have stepped up patrols on the hardpack with an eye for illegal action. According to Senior Seargeant Bruce Porter of the Alice PD, "Because it is an unformed area and not subject to road rules, people do stupid things and don't actually use commonsense, so they actually run the risk of having an accident and causing injury."
