President Bush boldly outlined his "20 in 10" proposal to cut vehicle emissions by 2017—but the plan has got some holes in it big enough to drive a truck through. French car maker Renault rolls out a new product line that cuts back on greenhouse gasses, cleans up the production process, and throws in some recycled plastic for good measure. The fuel-vapor-huffing (and somewhat fishlike) Alé is on a mission to pass the 100 mile-per-gallon mark and qualify to compete for the prestigious Auto X-Prize.
