How many big-block Novas can you watch at the dragstrip before you get bored? In my case, the answer is "many," but Nova (and Camaro) Fatigue inevitably sets in. However, there is no such thing as Gasser Fatigue!

The Mutually Assured Destruction of Omaha 24 Hours of LeMons race is taking place on the road course at Mid America Motorplex, which features a well-appointed drag strip right on the premises. While LeMons cars drop bumpers, connecting rods, and various fluids all over the curvy track, vast quantities of front-engined rail dragsters and gassers blast down the straight track as part of the 5th Annual Geezer Hot Rod Show & Go.

The folks in LeMons Race Control work from the tower, just yards from the dragstrip, and they had a tough time keeping their eyes on the $500 road racers, what with all the vintage drag-racing madness taking place right under their noses. Meanwhile, the LeMons drivers kept getting blasted by umpteen billion decibels of sudden Hemi noise, about 50 feet from their left ears, as they came out of Turn 15, which no doubt contributed to a number of four-wheels-off penalties.
