Fourtitude Uncovers Evidence of US Audi Q7 Base Engine

While we were drooling too near a Maserati Lusso (and literally on a rare 1957 Sadler Meyers Special former Bridgehampton racer) at the New York Concours d'Elegance, the gang at Fourtiude was uncovering a closely-held secret regarding Audi's new Q7. On display by Concours sponsor Audi was a silver Q7 sporting a telltale 3.6 Quattro badge. Having only announced the production of the Q7 with the 3.0 TDI and 4.2 V8 engines in Frankfurt, Americans were left to speculate on a base engine. Audi has yet to confirm the narrow-angle 3.6 that's also offered in the VW Passat will be offered in the Q7, but we're pretty sure this badge tells the tale. (Watch for Jalopnik's coverage of the Concours coming soon.)
