Last Sunday, police responded to a call that a group of Amish youths were drinking on the side of a country road. When the police arrived, one of the buggies fled and crashed into a cop car. Four youths were arrested, but not for drunk buggy driving.

Instead, the Chautauqua County authorities charged the four Amish youths with illegal alcohol possession as apparently there is no law providing for drunk driving a horse-drawn buggy.

The buggy that hit the cop car flipped on impact, with one occupant suffered light injuries. There is no word on how beat up their horse is.
