Everyone's rushing to tell you what the Ford Focus ST costs, but since we already told you it's $24,495 last night, let's move on to two more important details others seem to be skipping:

1.) Thanks to a temporary overboost feature, it's more powerful than originally promised.

2.) The first 1,000 buyers are getting a GoPro HD Hero2 Camera Pack.

The official SAE-certified power numbers from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine are up to 252 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque (originally it was reported at 247 hp/265 lb-ft). Except that peak torque number only comes when the overboost feature kicks in, which increases the boost enough to dial up another 15 lb-ft of torque for up to 15 seconds when your foot goes all the way to the floor.

More good news? If you're one of the first 1,000 buyers you'll get a GoPro HD Hero2 Motorsports Edition camera pack to record all of your heroic exploits. If you plan on taking your Focus ST to the track we'd recommend selecting a package that includes the Recaro seats.

Maybe now it's a good time to mention the build site just went live. Have fun you crazy kids.

Anyone know what kind of mileage this thing is supposed to get? I wonder if it's better than my WRX...
