There are two airworthy Supermarine Spitfire Tr.9s based in Goodwood, MJ627 and SM520. Here's the latter one firing up its 1,650 cubic inch V12 for your acoustic pleasure.

The Boultbee Flight Academy's Spitfire is actually powered by a Packard V-1650-7 engine today, a license-built version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin producing around 1,350 horsepower that was used mainly in the P-51D Mustang.
