Lots and lots of Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo product news today, courtesy of Carscoop. The backstory is this: Fiat Group hosted a meeting with financial types this week to introduce its near-term product plan. Considering the analysts and institutional investors in attendance likely ended up with chronic linguine stains on their non-disclosure agreements, it's no shocker to find Fiat's presentation in wide online circulation. From the materials, it looks like the meeting focused on up-and-comer Alfa Romeo, for which Fiat Group will continue its revamping in advance of a return to the US market. New models include the Junior — a Mini fighter set for 2008 — the 169 (above, top) — an upscale front/AW-drive sedan built on the 159/Brera platform — and the CXover (above, bottom) — a five-door crossover to compete with the likes of the BMW X3. On the Fiat side, the big thrills for us are the revival of Abarth tuner product, including versions of the coming Fiat 500 subcompact and Grande Punto starting in 2007. Anyone have a house to rent in the Lake Como region? We may be a while.
