We can't help but be flummoxed by the German sense of humor. It's not that it doesn't exist, as some would have you believe. It's there, only its room-clearing precision and articulated chains of compound words takes some getting used to. Or not. Either way, this Mazda is not a Ferrari 400i, nor does it really look like one. Except for all the badges. Such Teutonic tomfoolery is the punchline to an ad that reads "Replika Ferrari 400i GT auf Mazda 929 HB Coupe." I guess you had to be there.
