Rally racing is a dangerous business, and people get hurt and sometimes worse doing it. Worse, unfortunately, is what happened to Elk Rapids, Mich. native and rally racer Matthew Noble Marker when he was killed during a race in Washington State last year.

Marker's family and friends decided that the best way to honor him is to go all out: They want to make the Guinness Book of World records for the largest parade of Subarus in history. The parade will be held in Marker's hometown this Sunday, Sept. 16.

Friends and fans remembered Marker as a lovable screwball with boundless energy and generosity. He was even known for giving parts to other drivers, and drove night stages with neon tubes glowing from beneath his car — a fan favorite.

Much like Connor's Day, this is the second time in two weeks that the Subaru Community has come together to honor one of their own. This is great to see.
