Something about getting a brand new toy; the smell, the fresh plastics, it’s like an orgasm of materialism and frankly it’s irresistible. Especially when the toy is a McLaren 675LT. You can almost smell the anticipation in those factory-sealed seats.

I don’t know why the virginity of material objects has such a powerful draw, probably because I’ve been programmed by modern marketing to crave consumption. But watching this car come out of its cellophane chrysalis as a beautiful 666 horsepower butterfly is deeply satisfying.
