Old Car City in White, Ga. is 34 acres of pure automotive heaven. A beautiful landscape filled with Packards, Hudsons, Edsels, AMCs, Kaisers, Studebakers, DeSotos, and even some old euro treasures, this 80 year old former car dealership is where wilderness meets automobile. And boy is it beautiful.
A true joy for gearheads and hikers alike, this yard shows what happens when nature takes back some of history’s most glorious automobiles. Trees take the place of gigantic iron blocks in engine bays, bushes engulf entire station wagons, and animals take refuge in classic American luxury. Few places on earth are able to frame the automotive timeline in such a raw, yet elegant way.
Old Car City started out as a dealership in 1931 and has been owned by the same family ever since. With more than 4,000 cars from 1975 and back, the White, Georgia yard is the largest known classic car junkyard on earth and is undoubtedly one of the automotive wonders of the world.
