A Ducati Scrambler 400 Is On The Way So New Riders Don't Have To Ride Transformers

An Italian site is claiming to have spy pics which confirm Ducati is about to release a 400 Scrambler. One of the best bikes of the year is about to get a little brother.

I think that the Ducati Scrambler is the best bike for most people. Full stop.

You can read the linked story above, but basically I think it’s the best blend of performance, aesthetics, practicality, and fun - something few bikes try and achieve. To make matters worse, I actually don’t think it’s all that hipster.

Sales numbers have shown that many of you agree with me, and the Scrambler has carried Ducati’s sales over the past year - which is why it comes as no surprise that Bologna has another addition to the Scrambler Ducati line just one year after it’s inception.

Motociclismo.it is claiming these are the first pictures of the Ducati Scrambler 400. Unlike the KTM Duke, or upcoming Husqvarna 401s, the Ducati will use a two-cylinder engine which should help make it feel a bit smoother.

This should be an excellent bike for new riders, or people who just don’t want the surprising power of the regular Scrambler - which actually can be too much for a lot of people’s skill levels or needs. That is, assuming Ducati can keep the price down.

We expect to see the new Scrambler launched early next week at EICMA, alongside the Multistrada Adventure and the new cruiser they’ve been teasing with the X videos.
