A man was trying to back a camper into his own driveway when something went very wrong.

Instead of parking his RV, the camper accelerated straight ahead and drove right into a neighbor's pool at speeds believed to be around 40 MPH. The driver was a diabetic, and police believe that a medial emergency contributed to the situation.

The home's owner and a neighbor responded immediately and pulled the driver, Steven Pierre, from the sinking RV. The driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. It's very likely that the bystanders saved Pierre from drowning.

Unfortunately, the pool, and the RV, are out of commission for the rest of the summer.
